The condor lives in the cordillera of the Andes and feeds mainly on carrion.
But he is also capable of preying on calves, lambs and other game, which he can spot from a great distance with his excellent eyes.
As an outstanding glider he soars on the thermals between the mountains and thus lets himself be carried up to great heights. Unfortunately the Andean Condor is rarely seen today.
