The caiman only exists in South and Middle America.
The Black Caiman can reach a length of up to 4 m. These Black Caimans can adjust to different aquatic conditions and wander through flooded areas during the wet season.
During the dry season they usually undertake a so-called 'dry sleep' in the mud.
