Depending on the temperature, after about 4 weeks either the females (over 29 degree Celsius) or the males (under 28 degree Celsius) hatch.
These giant tortoise from the Isabela island is about 100 years old. According to estimates, the reptiles can get between 150 and 200 years old. |
